She stared our at a world
She walked in a world
She dined in a world
She loved all her men
She stared out at a world
She listened for a while
She talked with the voice
She laughed with the voice
She dined and she danced
And she laughed and she cried
She stared out at a world
And she called out to a world
She slept at night
Drug in my System
You’re the drug in my system
I wanna kiss you softly
I thought I’d kicked the habit
You’re the drug in my system
You drive me to distraction
Ain't Seen Mine
a baby cries
cackles harsh
can you see me
baby's still cryin'
in the sense that it has a different background, yadda yadda.
This is because I truly value poetry, mine and others, and
feel that it (and writing) deserves to be set apart.
Anyway, i'll stop rambling, and let you read
some of what i've written.
Drug in my System
Ain't Seen Mine
Come Down, Once Again
That turned its gaze from hers.
She muffled her cries
By biting her lip
Because she knew they
Would not hear her.
With the sun shining black,
And her feet made no
Sound on the pavement.
And made light of their laughter,
But their smiles were as false
As her own.
With a divinity divine
But few moved her to much passion.
That did not stare back at her,
But one day she caught a voice in
The crowd.
And the voice became louder
And soon she was answering it back.
For many an hour
And ignored that the world ignored her.
Feeling first of most awe,
And sometimes that brought her to tears.
With those false smiles people
But cared not as the voice answered back.
In the dead of the night
Thinking, how lucky am I, to have found this.
Where only one would stare back.
Not caring to muffled her cries
For they were of laughter.
Which had never heard her
Because she knew there was one
Who did.
Curled around herself,
Slept, and cared not that she lived
In a world that
Could not see
Nor hear
Nor care
About her.
Because she knew such a world could
Produce two such as they.
And that made all the difference
In the world.
The bitter sweet of pot
Forget about the antidote
I’ll stick with what I got
And smother you with lies
You’re a drug in my system
A needle in my thigh
The drug was dead and gone
But you came back again
(your voice across the phone)
I’ve loved you all along
The buzz in my cocaine
How could you, would you, kiss me
I know, that sounds so lame
Your face across my eyes
You’re the drug in my system
And the powder on my lies.
the mother's fine
cold and bare
i aint seen mine
lash and whip
tears stain red
helluva trip
bothered blind bitch
you can't hear me
you godamn witch
mum's still fine
we're all fuckin' dying
and i aint seen mine.
